Personal stuff

Read more about me, about my wife Els or about our son Staf. We live in Borsbeek in Belgium. The other side of our street is officially part of Antwerpen, the "city of diamonds," a big port city, about 40 km to the north of Brussels.

On the right you can see a glimpse of my face, hidden behind a glass of Duvel, one of my favorites.

I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, where I currently study computational properties and models of biochemical networks. Besides spending time with my family, I have several hobbies, most of them including mathematics and computers, but I also like cooking, spending time in the garden with my chickens and ducks, fooling around with Lego bricks, and much more.

Family

I grew up in Sint-Pauwels, Belgium with my Mama, Papa and two sisters, Barbara and Anne-Mieke. When counting uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces, we are a pretty big family, who all live close to Sint-Niklaas.
